Buck, I started waterfowling about 8 years ago. About 3 years ago I met John Pelton from StateLine Outdoors Guide Service. He suggested I use your calls and boy, am I glad I did.

I have a private field up here in Waukesha, WI that we hunt 1 day a week. The geese come out of the refuge and fly right into our fields to feed. We limit out just about every Sunday morning.

Now to the point, I’m the only guy calling in my group and know we could do even better if I can motivate the other guys to learn how to call. I’m currently blowing your Canada Hammer poly and am going to order the Canada Hammer II. I’ve blown and owned the high end calls and I’ve got to tell you that you’re Canada Hammer is without a doubt my go to call. My 13 yr. old son yelled at me from his blind last year, “Dad, put that call away”. This was from a call costing $130 and it couldn’t hold a torch or any strait meat (pun intended) to yours.

So, I’m going to recommend to my group of 5-6 guys to buy your calls exclusively. I’m tired of constantly looking for the next best thing. I own it already, your line of calls!

I met your son last year up at DU in Oshkosh. What a nice young man and gentleman. Well done, Buck.

God Bless you and yours.

Respectfully,

I thought you southern types might get a kick out this picture. My title for it would be - who says snow goose hunters aren't crazy.

This was taken March 25 in Northeast Nebraska. The guys bailed early and didn't have any shots but did see a few flocks come over.

Dear Buck,
You are so welcome. I'm one of those people that does more complimenting then complaining to companies. When I see that a product works and performs the way it was intended, and sometimes even better.....I acknowledge that company, and yours is one such company Buck.

I've heard more good than ( bad ) and I would use "bad" very lighty. Let me put it this way. I'm a member of numerous hunting forums and 99.9% of the people have nothing but great things to say about you....yes ......"YOU". The way you conduct yourself in the precence of kids and adults, but most importantly the kids
From what I read and seen on vidoes.....I can tell you they are right.

As much as everyone that works for you Buck, and as great as they are in helping with the success of your company, you seem to be the driving force that everone sees, but I'm sure you are a person that gives them great credit and praise. I'm also sure you let the people know this as well. It takes a great team to make, such things as a great business succeed.
Now jumping on to your family and God. Family is right up there with our spiritual beliefs. We can have all the money we want, but without family, God and our health...it's all in vain and meaniless.
I was just thinking as I wrote that last sentence, that in the video
Take'em 3 I believe, you had this cool saying. I quote " I Like It...I Love It.....I Want SomeMore Of It".....my fiance says this saying more than I and that's where she picked it up was watching you with Barnie Calef on his boat. I must admit, I thought that was pretty cool and very funny as well. That huge grin you had on your face was priceless......hahahaha. To hear her quote you, brings a heart warming smile to my face. You have that gift to make people smile and remember you in small ways you don't realize. Thank You.

Will you be coming out with Fowl Play IV??....and will old bro be in it,or will he be replaced by a young more vigorous pup, not to say bro isn't.
Well, I guess I took up enough of your time again, but I duely hope you, your family, and business, continue to have great success and health.
God Bless and Take Care,

Rob Dickson

Hey Buck,
I just wanted to tell you about how well your new predator call works. We decided on a great place to set-up overlooking a nice field right off of a large swamp. It has tons of cover, but they have to break cover to get to ya no matter what area they come from. Unless something walks down the row of small cedars and trees that line a gully (about two foot deep) that we were going to be sitting on. We backed against a large cedar, me on the upwind with the 22-250 and my buddy on the downwind side with the 870. I started calling with your call and it sounded great echoing back through that swamp. After about 20 minuets on the stand I caught some movement in the tree line to my left just at the edge of the gully. I kept my eyes on the tall tan grass that covers the strip of trees, where I had seen the movement. I flipped the call around and started using the coaxer, just a few small squeaks and I stopped. After a couple of minuets nothing had moved. I found myself second guessing the movement in the tree line so I decided to check to my right. I slowly moved my head around and found nothing in the field, so I started to rotate my head back around to my left and poof! Right there in front of me slinking through to tall tan grass was a nice bobcat. It continued slipping through the grass when my buddy let out a small cough under his breath. The cat stopped dead in its tracks and sat down and stared through me to the other side of the cedar. When it couldn't look through me it started moving its head from side to side to look around me. When it did the wind blew a little and I lifted my gun out of the shooting sticks and into place. When it seen me move it just looked like "What was that?" The cross hairs rested on the white patch on its chest and BOOM. My buddy came around the cedar eyes wide. "Did ya get it?" I just laughed. "Yeah, check it out!" The cat was a whopping 7 paces away! His eyes got wider. "WOW! that is close!" You can only get a bobcat in close like that when you have a great sounding call. Thanks again! Great call!

Dear Buck,

I want to let you know what kind of people you have representing you. I would like to share a little experience of what happened at the recent ISE show in Salt lake city. I want to give Carl Taylor some major props for something he did the other day at this calling contest.

My sister and brother in law and their boys went to the expo saturday (3/18). I told my sister to go over to the calling contest and have my nephews tell Carl Taylor hello and who they were if they saw him. If not still have the boys listen to the callers for a few minutes. They didn't know who Carl was so I told her if they saw him great if not no biggy. Well two of my nephews (8 and 4 yrs old) go to the back and ask someone if Carl is around. He is on the phone so he says to wait a minute tell he gets off. I guess the next that happens is Carl is up on stage with the microphone and he invites my two nephews up there with him. He talks to them for a second about hunting and duck calling and gives them each a duck call. He has them both blow them as he has the crowd cheer. This is at least the story I got from an excited 8 and 4 year old.

They called me right after to tell me how cool it was. As I talked to them about it later, they both started glowing big time and telling me again how cool it was. Here it is almost a week later and you bring it up and they both get excited as can be to tell me how "cool" Carl the duckman is and how cool their calls are.

I have dealt with Carl in several different capacities on different occasions. I have always thought of him as a good guy and consider him a friend. He has helped MC banquets for the Weber River Retriever Club multiple times. Always going above and beyond the call to make our events fantastic and always making it so everyone there, including kids have a great time. I have seen his passion flow for conservation of the outdoors and wildlife habitat. In my opinion there is no better Ambassador in the waterfowl and calling world than Carl Taylor. My respect for Carl has tripled from the above act with my nephews. I did not ask him to help them, I did not even tell him they were coming, he had never met my sister or nephews, I am not sure he even realized till after that they were my nephews. He took time out right in the primetime of his contest to make the day of a couple young kids. The funny thing is that he was adamant about telling people that it was not him donating the calls. He did not want anybody to give him any credit for it. He wanted all the credit to go to "Buck Gardner". My understanding is you donate a number of calls to Carl for this type of thing. Well, between you and Carl Taylor, this industy is a better place and there are a ton of kids who have something positive to look up to rather than stupid video games. Buck, ou have the right person as your ambassador. You should be very proud.

As I have mentioned this to others, it is amazing to me how many people have had similar experiences with their kids or been around such things involving Carl. I am not the only one who has experienced this. He is definately well known and looked up to for these type of things in this area.

This is something that my nephews will remember for a long time, maybe forever. Myself and all my family appreciate this very much!!!

Sincerely, Travis Skeen ( and Austin and Jordan Mickles)
